Village lifestyle- the taste of eternal India.
New generations are very much attracted to western culture and therefore the fragrance of soil has been moving out of their lives. Instead of living in Indian cities, we are missing the essence of the true Indian lifestyle. We are missing the chirping of birds, the ringing of bells, the smell of cow dung and dung cake, the chaos created by several children playing together, not only these but also the sweetness of our regional languages.
Village lifestyle includes the culture of daily gatherings of elders where they talk about politics, crops, each-others daily happenings, and similarly other topics. They always reach out to others for help if they need any kind of support. Festivals celebrated in villages signifies the character of those festivals. Festivals' celebration should not be judged over the packet of overpriced sweets, instead, people coming together and celebrating together should be the real motto behind them.
Our history has also evolved from the village culture, it is justified by several things pointed out there. Like Britishers used to forcibly occupy their farming land or ask them to grow the crops they wanted. And also they had to pay taxes for growing crops, which later led to Gandhi Ji's Champaran satyagraha. Before that also, there was the existence of the village lifestyle where people used to exchange items as per their requirements. Still, these scenes can be only visible in villages
If someone is living in town, the village is their favorite destination to chill and relax. When we were children, we loved to visit grandmother's place during our vacations to enjoy the warmth of the village and the people living there. People over here just have their own values and also they are being respected. If you visit someone's house, they will not allow you to leave before eating food. The culture of greeting others whenever you cross someone, either you know them or not.
Growing up in villages brings a different type of discipline in yourself like the early rising with natural rooster alarm and other healthy habits along with other physical activities, also are stronger than the children of their age growing up in town. These children will spend their most time with soil-related activities such as wrestling on soil or simply rolling over the soil. They are also mentally stronger because they face many problems in their daily life, but they also know how to deal with them.
One of the most important parts of the village is farmers. When you watch them working in their fields tirelessly, you will enjoy your food more than ever in your life. Irrespective of the weather conditions, they work effortlessly without thinking of their own health, just because to ensure that their countrymen do not sleep with an empty stomach. They are themselves an inspiration to watch. This all is only possible in a village.
Lately, things are little changed. Electric and water supply has knocked most of the doors. Public sanitation has improved, the government had to be given mostly credit. You may also find shops with your daily requirements. Educations have improved but still, the below poverty lines mostly reside in the Indian villages. Women are not seen actively participating in works other than household as compared to towns, they are still behind the curtains playing an important role in their respective families.
Irrespective of all the differences between the villages and towns, nature has been more kind towards villages. It seems like god has not fairly distributed its amenities between towns and villages, he has been partials towards each of them in their respective fields. The greenery around you in villages and the lately added amenities will certainly attract you towards them. Everything around you seems to be natural, and India has been lucky enough to have more than 6,50,000 villages. Hence, India is known as the country of villages.
