United we stand, divided we fall. #FarmerProtest
It's India's heritage- Unity in Diversity ( unity without uniformity and diversity without fragmentation). Let us keep it alive.
We mostly disagree with those whom we love or either care for. There are several times disputes between the family members, we talk about it resolve the dispute. India is a country that stands for unity in diversity. Being one of the most populated countries, there always will be a difference in opinion. And that should not give opportunities for outsiders to criticize us as a country. These are the times when we should stay together and stay strong.
Let us start over from the cause of this Farmer protest i.e. The Farm Act and what are their points:
1. The Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020
- expands the scope of trade areas of farmers' produce from select areas to "any place of production, collection, aggregation".
- allows electronic trading and e-commerce of scheduled farmers' produce.
- prohibits state governments from levying any market fee, cess, or levy on farmers, traders, and electronic trading platforms for the trade of farmers' produce conducted in an 'outside trade area'.
2. Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020
- provides a legal framework for farmers to enter into pre-arranged contracts with buyers including mention of pricing.
- defines a dispute resolution mechanism.
3. Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020
- removes foodstuff such as cereals, pulses, potato, onions, edible oilseeds, and oils, from the list of essential commodities, removing stockholding limits on agricultural items produced by Horticulture techniques except under "extraordinary circumstances"
- requires that the imposition of any stock limit on agricultural produce only occurs if there is a steep price rise.
Let us understand the matter that, we Indians either support our farmers who feed us or the government whom we elect to serve us and make decisions for our benefit or the benefit of the country. And the common thing that unites us is our country India, therefore it's our responsibility to maintain the integrity of the nation. And simultaneously we should work together to solve our problems and disputes.
In the case of the Farm Act, the Supreme Court had ordered to discontinue those Farm Acts and so had the government. The Indian government has respected the Supreme court's order and ordered the farm act to put on hold for the next one and half years. Therefore it should be pretty clear that the government is not going to implement them now and may further review and make changes if they are going to intact them again. Therefore it's time for the farmers to end this Farmer Protest.
It is a kind of human nature that outsiders are trying to provoke farmers by their supporting speeches. It's always the government that comes to support farmers in case of crop failure. And those are the farmers and other residents of India who vote to form the government. Hence, a country cannot run peacefully without mutual co-operation.
Our history says, whenever outsiders will start taking interest in your internal matter then they are gonna make their profit out of the whole matter. A tweet or any other type of conversation cannot justify their motive as a well-wisher. Or even outsiders cannot understand the culture of agriculture in India. Because in most of the other countries, farming is not widely practiced by such a huge population of that country like India because they are concentrated on very few people.
Britishers used the same policy of divide and rule and the rest is mentioned in our history. Therefore we should always remain united to protect our existence.
